Yes, it may seem like a sales pitch, but you probably don’t know what you’re missing. Aside from all the perks you get at a place like RocketSpace (mentorship, free AWS and Google Cloud Platform credits, our Corporate Innovation Program, etc.), there are a ton of great reasons to join any coworking space, period. Aside from all the perks you get at a place like RocketSpace (mentorship, free AWS and Google Cloud Platform credits, our Corporate Innovation Program, etc.), there are a ton of great reasons to join any coworking space, period. Here, some of our favorites: . LESS HASSLE = MORE PRODUCTIVITY . Face it, working in your living room by yourself (or squished in your basement with the rest of your team) is not inspiring, comfortable, or conducive to optimal productivity. You don’t have much reason to go outside and get exposed to new ideas, probably don’t have enough room for everyone or all of the IT infrastructure you need, and chores just have a magical way of taking away valuable work time when you’re cooped up at home. Are we getting warm? Do yourself a favor and work somewhere that makes you feel good and enables you to do your best work. . THE NETWORK/COMMUNITY . While you’re here, why not take the additional opportunity to network? We throw events almost daily – everything from breakfasts, to happy hours, pitch competitions, panel events and hackathons! Our staff loves hearing stories about how our members got their first client or discovered an amazing PR agency through another member they met at one of our events. Our tech campus comprises 700+ individuals and 170+ companies, so there’s huge networking potential. Plus, companies have to apply to join RocketSpace so you know you’re surrounded by a certain caliber of entrepreneurs, but you can make useful connections at just about any coworking space. . FLEXIBILITY . Have you tried renting office space yet? If not, try asking a friend who has about the experience. Terms we frequently hear used to describe this endeavor include frustrating, nightmarish and my favorite, complete and utter bull shiitake (to quote Guy Kawasaki). It’s tough to find an affordable space, and especially in San Francisco! Leases can run up to 15 years, so you better get a big office you can grow into, and then you get all the joys of office management, our next topic. Why not save yourself the trouble? Get a nice little space where you don’t have to deal with all of this. . OUTSOURCED OFFICE MANAGEMENT . Don’t you just love getting everything opened up and ready to go in the morning, staying on top of repairs and maintenance, troubleshooting WiFi and projectors, ordering office supplies… ? Thought so. We have a solution for you: outsource all of that to folks who actually want to do it for you. And even better – we’ll do it with a smile! . INSPIRATION – CONSTANTLY CHANGING ENVIRONMENT . Half the work of a CEO is vision. You’re responsible for dreaming up the direction your company will go in, but being creative is tough when your surroundings are static, uninspiring. We’re constantly coming up with additional tools and resources to offer members, new ways to help them interact in a meaningful way, and on the look out for creative ways to inspire the entrepreneurs on our campus (Gaping Void art, anyone?) so there’s always change taking place and new ideas making their way into the space. .
